Baby/life update...

Well hello - I'll get to the baby stuff first since the only people who read this blog are women and only care about the baby stuff anyways. :)

As some of you have heard, Friday was a bit of a crazy day. We went in for a normal ultra sound but at the end, the nurse left the room to take the pictures to the doctor (which they normally do) but then didn't come back for like 15 minutes (not normal). I finally went out and asked how long it was going to take as we were sort of wondering what was going on. Five to ten minutes later they came in and asked that we stay for some tests. Jamie was supposed to come back in a couple of hours any ways for her regular doctor's appointment but they asked that she not leave and have some tests done. At this point, I had to leave because I had to take my mom to the airport. Talk about tough - here they were asking Jamie to stay for more tests and we didn't really know why but I had to leave. Soooooo...I took my mom to the airport (missed the flight) and on the way back I called Jamie...she said...I'm having contractions and they want me to go to the hospital. It was crazy - I was thinking...YOU'RE HAVING WHAT?!!!! Yikes!...so off to the hospital we went.
When my Mom and I got to the hospital, Jamie was already hooked up to monitors that checked for the baby's heart beat and for contractions...and she was having them. And now...you have to understand, it's not like we've done this before. I was thinking contractions = baby coming!...but as it turns out, though we were at the hospital for a couple of hours, no baby yet.
So here's the deal...it turns out that Jamie has more fluid than is normal...and we don't know why yet. It could be something, it could be nothing. But to be sure, they're having Jamie come in and do non-stress tests (they monitor her for contractions and the baby's heart beat) twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. This Tuesday however, it sounds like we're going to be getting a 3D ultrasound which should be really cool...I've heard that they are very clear and it'll basically be like looking at the baby.
So anyways, please be in prayer. We're not sure what's going on but hoping and praying it's nothing. Side note...and you can keep the jokes to yourself, it also appears that Josiah has a larger head then normal - yes, like his old man. Bad news for Jamie. :) It doesn't sound like they're worried about it though.
They also said that he weighs about 5 lbs and 12 ounces right now...could be a big boy. He's going to be my gordito!!! (That actually means "little fat boy" for those of you who are wondering what Josiah has to do with that thing you get from Taco Bell.)
So - that's the scoop. Crazy stuff...ups and downs. It was finally nice to talk to a doctor today and get some answers after Jamie had her non-stress test. They said, that from the tests, everything looks good. More on the baby after Friday.

House -
Holy smokes have we been busy on the house. As I mentioned above my Mom was here last week...she was here to help us on the house. We basically cleaned out the whole house and put everything we didn't need into storage in preparation for moving into an apartment. It was CRAZY and super time consuming - but - it's done now. We also had landscapers come in and work at the house (outside looks awesome) and a cleaning service to come and clean...that was a birthday present to Jamie from my Mom. Hey Dad - she is still waiting for your present. :)

So anyways - that's what's going on...we're really looking forward to having Josiah with us...looking forward to seeing a healthy baby boy. Though we've been having fun lately as he has been kicking like crazy...or at least I'm having fun with it - not sure that Jamie appreciates the bruised ribs. :) It's crazy to watch him moving around and feeling him kick.

Okay - well, back to work. Later!
