Okay - so most of you know that Jamie and are going to move into an apartment over on the other side of Portland this year...well, the prime time to sell houses (if there is a "prime time" in this market) is mid February to the end of May...which is coming up quick. Jamie and I are hoping to put the house up asap but first we need to so a little remodeling. Our house really doesn't "need" it but we want to sell it asap which means it needs to stand out a little so we've got a huge to do list. (For those who hadn't heard we were selling...we're planning to get into something cheaper closer to where Jamie works)
I started on Friday and, wow, it's already getting bigger than anticipated...take a look...

We weren't originally planning to but now we're replacing the shower. It'll look good when it's done, but it may take awhile to put back together! I had to take out part of the wall because the old shower had three and a half walls...they don't exactly sell stall inserts for that....so I took out about 6 inches of wall.

Wow - the little things that cause HUGE headache. The drain wouldn't budge from the top so I took up some of the sub-floor to try and take out the pipe coming from the trap...it wouldn't budge with my pipe wrench. I finally found a pipe (a part of our trampoline) and put that over the handle on my pipe wrench for more leverage...it finally came but it took a lot of work. Also, I had to replace a little of the sub-floor as the old shower didn't do a very good job of keeping water in. The sub-floor is fixed now but I still need to take out two walls of sheet rock, put in the shower walls, replace the shower knob, re-sheet rock, lay the flooring, lay the sticky tile, put in the new cabinet, sink and faucet, and put in the new toilet....then on to the Kitchen. Whohoo!!!

Something tells me this is going to take longer to put back together then it did to pull apart!!!
