Well, today was my first day off the youth pastor job. It was fine. I actually am sort of employed this week. A guy in our church has some property and needs some work done and offered me a weeks worth of work...today, I tackled the black berries. I'm not sure who made out better, me or the black berries. It was fun though...fun to be out of an office and away from my lap top and just working...no real decisions to make, no drama to deal with, and no deadlines to make. I could get used to this. :) I'll probably work for him for 20 hours this week and then 20 hours or so the week after Thanksgiving...not all doing black berries.
Sunday went well. I preached on getting back to our Christian fundamentals...Loving Jesus, and loving people. There were so many other things that I wanted to talk about but really couldn't because they all sort of tied back to why I was leaving...and obviously I didn't want to come anywhere near that. So it went well and now it's over...it's definitely a strange feeling. I realized as we were leaving the church that I no longer have any projects to work on...the lake trip, ski trip, etc....they're not mine to plan or do anymore. That sort of made me sad. I'm the kind of person who needs to be working on some kind of project. We'll see...
For now, I'll be looking for a job and Jamie and I will be praying that God opens up doors for us to minister to people we run into in life and asking him to guide us as we follow him. Whatever it is he has for us we'll do...we're just along for the adventure. :)

PS: We find out if we have a boy or girl on December 11th. Whohoo! :)
I listened to your final message at TGOG. Good stuff man! Been praying for you.
